All dampers were fabricated and delivered to the bridge site in 2001, and testing of the structure with groups of pedestrians began in January 2002.  Figures 7 through 9 are a sampling of the installed dampers. BRIDGE TESTING The bridge was subjected to three separate series of tests during the month of January 2002.  Two of these were scheduled, one was unexpected.
