Stage 2 at Bowen Campus called for the development of two new mid-rise commercial office towers that utilizing steel eccentric brace frames and Fluid Viscous Dampers (FVDs).

The primary design objective was to provide a low damage, resilient design building, including lowering the carbon footprint of the building. The FVDs were orientated horizontally to optimize the damper efficiency and reduce impacts on the damper load path.
